My journey with yoga started roughly 8 years ago when a coworker of mine at the time invited me to take her yoga class. That class was the first time I was able to get out of my head and be present in the moment. I fell in love with it and knew immediately that I wanted more of that feeling. After multiple back injuries, asana practice was the thing that helped me learn to listen to my body and honor the movement or rest that it needed. Two years ago, I decided to take the leap and sign up for a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Wyld Roots Yoga. My goal as a yoga teacher is to continue learning more every day, to share that knowledge and the experience of being present and mindful to everyone I can.
